The National Minimum Wage increases from today (1st October 2013) and are as follows: 

• adult rate - £6.31 an hour
• 18-20 year olds - £5.03 an hour
• 16-17 year olds - £3.72 an hour
• apprentice rate - £2.68 an hour
• the maximum amount that can be offset where accommodation is provided is £4.91 per day.
