New fees for making a claim to an Employment Tribunal have been introduced from today (29th July 2013). Any application made from today will be subject to the new fees and tribunal rules.

In addition the new cap on compensation awards for unfair dismissal will come in today. The cap will be set at the LOWER of the current cap (£74,200) or one years gross pay and will apply where the effective date of termination is in on or after 29th July.
