07/08/2013 Currently there is no legal maximum indoor working temperature. Guidance from the Health and Safety Executive states that workplace temperatures inside buildings should be "reasonable" but this is open to interpretation. This has resulted in a call from MPs for a maximum working workplace temperature of 30C (86F) and 27C (81F) for people doing strenuous work. The TUC has also called for the same maximum legal temperatures.
